I don't know what's with AA Japanese games and poor performance, I get the graphics aren't going to be mindblowing but at very least it should allow the games to run at 60fps and a decent resolution. The visuals themselves are ok but performance mode feel WAY too low res for these levels of visuals. The combat was at least enjoyable, I like how you can freely swap member and the whole combat arena being based on different zones is interesting. Or how annoying it is that you get interrupted with a cutscene every 2 minutes, but it might just be until they've fully set up the story, And there's a complete lack of difficulty or challenge but that could also just be the intro area easing you into the different mechanics. ![]() For example the level design is extremely linear, but maybe later on in the game it opens up. I'm not sure making the demo the intro of the game was such a good idea, because a lot of the things I didn't like could potential be resolver later on. Seems like a solid game to pick up on sale if the full thing reviews well.ĭidn't play the whole demo but what I played was just OK. I do like the flexibility of combat positioning where you're using to prioritize which mini-fight to focus on (if you even can) or trying to burn through a fight to join in on another engagement. that said, artwork and enemy design is crazy fun and there's a neat strategy layer to the combat. Finally, the linearity feels a bit off especially as this is a huge island just make the damn thing open. Third, how does progress carry over if you can't save? I'm guessing there's a final save once you reach a point in the demo more, why are you so fucking powerful? Maybe they depower your further into the demo. There's no need for it if, especially if you are highlighting clearly where these points are. Second, agreed with the pointless FPS traversal. I'm sure that's just how these characters are designed but as someone with no connection to OP at all I had to eye roll at ROBIN and - to a lesser extent - NAMI or whatever the name is. First, it's always difficult for me to take anime seriously when they go overboard with the cheesecake.
